Key Changes in CUET UG 2025

  1. Reduced Subjects: The number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37, with the removal of 20 foreign languages and 6 domain subjects like Entrepreneurship and Legal Studies.
  2. Computer-Based Testing (CBT): The exam will now be conducted entirely online, eliminating the pen-and-paper option.
  3. Uniform Exam Duration: All subjects will have a 60-minute duration.
  4. Compulsory Questions: Candidates must attempt 50 compulsory questions per subject (no optional questions).
  5. Flexible Subject Selection: Students can choose any 5 subjects, regardless of their Class 12 curriculum.
  6. Admissions for Deleted Subjects: Admissions for removed subjects will be based on the General Aptitude Test (GAT).

CUET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Passed or appearing in Class 12 from a recognized board.
    • General category: Minimum 50% marks.
    • SC/ST category: Minimum 45% marks.
  • Age Limit: No upper age limit.
  • Nationality: Open to Indian citizens, Nepalese/Bhutanese subjects, Tibetan refugees, and certain foreign nationals.

  2. Fill Application Form: Enter personal, academic, and subject details.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned photograph and signature.
  4. Pay Fee: Pay the application fee online (varies by category and subjects).
  5. Submit: Verify details and submit the form.

CUET UG 2025 Syllabus

CUET UG 2025 syllabus has undergone significant changes, reflecting the reduction in the number of subjects and the shift to a more streamlined examination format. The syllabus is structured into three main sections:

  • Section I: This includes language subjects, where candidates can choose from 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Bengali, and others. Language proficiency will be assessed through specific papers designed to evaluate comprehension and usage.

  • Section II:  This section comprises 23 domain-specific subjects, which include core topics relevant to various undergraduate programs. Notably, several subjects have been removed from the syllabus, including Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism Studies, Legal Studies, and Engineering Graphics. Candidates can now select any subject irrespective of their Class 12 curriculum, allowing for greater flexibility in their choices.

  • Section III: The General Test has been renamed the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and will assess candidates on general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative reasoning, and mental ability.

CUET UG 2025 Admit Card 

CUET UG 2025 admit card will be available for download online, approximately two to three days before the exam date. Candidates must log in to the official NTA website using their application details to access the hall ticket, which contains essential information such as the exam date, time, and venue. Candidates can follow the below steps to download CUET UG Admit Card.

  • Go to the NTA CUET UG website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
  • Click on the "Download CUET Admit Card" tab available on the homepage.
  • Enter your Application ID, Password or Date of Birth, and Security PIN to access the login page.
  • After entering the required information, click "Submit." The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the PDF version of your admit card and take a physical printout for examination day.
  • Check all details on the admit card, including your name, roll number, exam date, time, and center address. Report any discrepancies to the authorities immediately.
